Hello, again. Well, we made it to Hawaii after a very long day on November 7th. When we arrived we were in the guest house on Schofield Barracks Military Base for about two weeks. After much house hunting (I hate house hunting!!), we found a house for rent in Mililani. Mililani is in central Oahu. For those of you who have been here before, it is closer to the mauka (mountain) region and Schofield Barracks (SB). I am working on Wheeler Army Airfield, which is right next to SB.
When we got here we discovered that in Hawaii the winter months are the rainy season. It has rained almost everyday since we arrived here. Some days its light rain but other days it has been kind of heavy. We had some major flooding here after a couple days of strong storms. We didn't have any problems where we live, but other areas were not so lucky. We also survived our first island-wide blackout. I'm sure you heard about it. It was on the news nationwide.
Overall, we're doing well. We are just getting settled into our new home and new location. The girls are doing very well at their new school and have been keeping their grades up. On the weekends we try to make time to find our way around the island and discover what our new home has to offer.
I will post more information soon to catch you up on what has been going on since we arrived in Hawaii in November. I will also post some pictures of the area and the family. Hawaii is definitely very picturesque!!

Last days in North Carolina
Hello, everybody. I know its been a long time since we've made a post, and I apologize. Just to catch everybody up, we left North Carolina for Hawaii on November 7, 2008. We were super busy in North Carolina before we left. We were painting and repairing the house for the new renters, selling one car, taking the other car to South Carolina to ship, and had to go to Mississippi to take care of some business. I was supposed to be on leave, but by the time we got on the plane headed for Hawaii, I needed a vacation from my vacation.
Here are some pictures of the house with the new paint job and repairs:

Our Wedding Day
Hello, everybody. We are new to this blog thing, so I thought I'd start out with a little bit about us. We "officially" became a family on January 1, 2006 when Billy and I were married at the Dillon Marriage Chapel in Dillon, SC. We were the first marriage of the first day of the new year. It seemed only fitting to us, since it was the first day of the rest of our lives together. We both feel very blessed to have found each other, and thank God for bringing us together.
On this wonderful day we were not only joined together as husband and wife, but as a family, and Billy became not only a husband but a father as well. We have two wonderful girls, Katherine and Maria, and they continue to make us proud. We are very much in love and very happy and thankful to have found each other.

With this ring, I thee wed too...
Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. & Mrs. Billy Holloway...and Katherine & Maria
